The 2025 vintage is a early-ripening year, shaped by contrasts and resilience, producing wines that are powerful, concentrated, and remarkably refined aromatically. A demanding vintage, marked by extreme climatic conditions, yet also by beautifully balanced wines.
Following a mild winter and a generously rainy spring, the vines benefited from vigorous vegetative growth as well as valuable water reserves. These conditions helped the vineyard withstand the hot and particularly dry summer that followed. Two heatwaves, at the end of June and again in early August, accelerated ripening and led to exceptionally early harvests. At the estate, the first grapes were picked as early as August 20th.
The harvest took place under intense conditions, with rapid ripening requiring daily vigilance to preserve freshness and balance. In early September, rainy episodes slowed down maturation, forcing a pause in the harvest and bringing welcome freshness to the grapes. As a result, the 2025 harvest stretched over a time span rarely seen at the estate.
Yields remained modest, with small quantities harvested, but the first juices reveal wines of deep color, beautiful concentration, silky tannins, and great aromatic intensity. Despite the natural richness of the vintage, the balance between alcohol and freshness is particularly harmonious, resulting in wines that are both sun-filled, precise, and elegant.
A vintage full of character, marked by sweat, patience, and deep emotion, already hinting at promising wines built for long ageing.
