Vineyard

This wine comes from a plot called “Les Antimagnes”, at Villedieu, with clay and limestone soils and located at an altitude of 340m. Woods surround this plot, which protects the vines and brings freshness to the wine.

Winemaking

The grapes are hand-picked and sorted at the vineyard. They are fully destemmed, then each grape variety is separately fermented in concrete tanks. Vatting time is between 28 and 35 days with daily grape-treading and pumping-over. The wine is aged for 9 months in concrete tanks before bottling.

Tasting notes

Red and dark purple wine colour. A gourmet nose of fig and fresh mint. The palate is round, silky and fruity, with white pepper and nutmeg notes. A pleasant wine to share with friends.

Food pairing

Duck breast with honey – Braised Milk-cap mushrooms – Grilled lamb chops and small potatoes – Brie de Meaux – Dark chocolate tart.
