2010 – « The Balanced »

The 2010 vintage is a vintage that makes you nostalgic, a balance worthy of the climate of the old time, on fresh red fruits and fine tannins.

The season begins with a particularly cool spring. The vines grow slowly and pretty bunches appear, suggesting big yields. The heat arrived overnight, causing a significant coulure on our Grenaches, a poor fertilization of the flower, resulting to an underdevelopment of certain berries, which remain small in size. No organoleptic damage but a sharp drop in yields.

After the dry summer, the cool temperatures of August and September helped preserve the rich aromatic potential of the grapes. The result: fruity, full and beautifully fresh juices.

The whites and rosés combine freshness, liveliness and aromatics. The reds express themselves on red fruits, fine tannins, marked freshness and moderate alcohol.

The 2010 vintage will be a great year for laying down.
