“Quietly, without making any noise, the winegrower-oenologist Gilles Ferran and his wife Laurence have led their Escaravailles to the top of the Southern Rhône domains. Now joined by their daughter Madeline, they offer a range of exciting wines in all price ranges, such as this beautiful Galopine, a blend of mainly roussanne and marsanne spiced with a little bit of viognier. After a nose of acacia flowers, the cuvée develops beautiful aromas of autumn fruits, pear and quince, finely smoked. A white wine for a meal, which will be the perfect pairing for an old Comté cheese or a poultry.”
